HAED - Storyteller Storykeep

So much for updating weekly. Sorry, there's been a lot going on.

Anyhow, Heaven and Earth Designs has a line of patterns called Storykeeps - bookmark-sized patterns that are smaller, more manageable parts of their ginormous regular-sized patterns. This one, based on Selina Fenech's Storyteller design, is going to be a Christmas gift for a good friend of mine. This picture is after a week of work on it (okay, more like four days) and represents just over eight hundred stitches.

This project is on white 25-ct Lugana, all in DMC floss, stitched with two strands of fiber over one fabric thread. Yes, I think I'm going to go blind doing it, but it'll be gorgeous when it's done.

Chatelaine - MIDI Mystery II - Part 1 complete

Hurrah!

I'm proud of myself for not being too much of a procrastinator to a) get part 1 finished before too much of August is gone and 2) actually getting a picture of it up here to show off. As the post title says, this is the completed (sans beads) part 1 of Chatelaine's MIDI Mystery II (Baroque Times). It's stitched on 32-count Fresco linen from Picture This Plus.

..er.. now if I can just figure out how to add a picture.. there we go.

Now, on to part 2! Flowerpots and fountains ahoy!

Blah, blah, blah.

It seems like most stitchers' blogs I've seen are hosted here, and since I can't really see putting my creative doodads on display in my MySpace area, I figured I'd join the crowd.

I'm Lynne, an almost-thirtysomething from Kansas married to a soldier. I dabble in a lot of craft type things including beadwork, crochet, knitting, and cross stitch. Once I kick my camera into behaving, I'll post actual pictures here about once a week or so of what I'm working on. More than anything else, it's so I'll have a visual record of my progress.
